I’m Kirsten, a cake designer based in Perthshire, creating custom birthday cakes and celebration cupcakes for people marking important moments. I work closely with each customer to design something that feels personal, tastes just as good as it looks, and fits the occasion perfectly.
Why I do What I Do
Baking has always been something I’ve loved, but Cakes by Kirsten was born from wanting to offer something more personal than generic, off-the-shelf cakes. I wanted to create designs that feel thoughtful, considered, and truly made for the person being celebrated — not just something that looks nice in a display.

Outside of baking, I love the quieter parts of the process just as much as the creative ones — sketching ideas, refining details, and seeing everything come together for a celebration. I enjoy working closely with customers, especially when they’re not quite sure what they want yet and just need a bit of guidance.
I’m drawn to simple, thoughtful designs and flavours that people genuinely enjoy sharing. For me, it’s always about creating something that feels right for the occasion — not overdone, not rushed, just carefully made.
